Via ferrata Peter on the Stoderzinken

Open

At 420 m, the youngest via ferrata in the via ferrata park on the Stoderzinken is the longest Via Ferrata on the Stoder and comes closest to the summit. The difficulties with B / C are relatively constant and are interrupted after a 2/3 climb length by a long, easy crossing. With the via ferrata Franz and Peter, the Stoderzinken has become a worthwhile, independent via ferrata destination, which rightly outstrips its famous neighbor, the Dachstein, in terms of enjoyment via ferrata. You can now spend a Ferrata day here without a lot of boarding and then a run with the zipline starts, the Stoder is also more attractive in terms of costs than the Dachstein, because you don't need a cable car here and the toll is also significantly cheaper. Rise length: 420 meters.

More information

on the B320 to Gröbming and then the Stoderstraße or Maustraße on the Stoderzinken.
On the toll road up to the Stoderzinken to the parking lot. From the GH Steinerhaus car park, follow a gravel path down into a depression and then follow the signs to the Stoderkircherl on the right. Climbing equipment is also put on there. From the Friedenskircherl, follow the Florasteig, which also serves as an access to the via ferrata park, a few meters to the first ascending left curve (board) and then descend to the right on the Franz via ferrata to a pillar. Down the pillar (B) and almost horizontally to the first pillar-like upswing (B / C and B). Here the "Peter Klettersteig" branches off to the left and initially leads parallel to the "Franz" up a steep pillar (B / C). Then it goes to the right to a gap (B) with a spreading step and then up (B) to the long crossing (A and A / B) that leads to the last short wall (B) and the final two panels (each B).
Ascent to the Stoderzinken summit cross (2,048m) - fantastic view over the Enns valley.
