Café Fotter

Since 1936, Café Fotter has shaped Attemsgasse in Geidorf and still feels like an open living room of the Karl Franzens University today. Originally started as a bakery, it developed into a charming coffee house that focuses on nostalgia and coziness.

Today, the team around Franz Reiter and Simon Hauzenberger preserves historical architectural elements such as counters and furniture from the 1930s, complemented by solid modernizations that provide comfort without breaking the style, making Café Fotter a unique place.

The rose garden behind the house is a true oasis and highly recommended: under old roses and fruit trees, you can have breakfast, read, or simply extend your university break. In the morning and for brunch, the menu features various breakfast options, freshly baked pastries, and homemade cakes. For the afternoon, there are light lunch dishes and picnic baskets that are perfect for taking away or sharing.
