Edelschrott Panorama Tour 183 - MTB

Newly designed and varied MTB tour with around 50 percent natural trail sections, leading from Edelschrott via St. Hemma and Herzogberg to the Hirzmann Reservoir, with magnificent views along the way.

The tour starts in Edelschrott and follows the Winterleitenweg, with beautiful views on the climb towards St. Hemma. This first section already brings the first mountain biking challenge as well as the highest point of the tour.

The route then descends along winding side roads before continuing on forest roads, meadow tracks and woodland trails towards Herzogberg. It leads through beautiful forests and peaceful hunting and forestry areas.

After crossing the A2 above the entrance to the Herzogberg Tunnel, a short section runs close to the motorway, which is surprisingly unobtrusive while mountain biking. Instead, it offers an unusual change of perspective: looking down at the drivers from the bike. The route then heads back towards Edelschrott and descends steeply to the Hirzmann Reservoir.

At the Ströhberne Brücke and the footbridge, the clear mountain water is perfect for a well-earned swim in summer after almost 30 kilometres. During the season, this is also a good spot for a refreshment stop. A short final climb leads back to Edelschrott.
