Experience the Styrian autumn '27 in the Graz experience region – art that moves and touches.

For decades, the festival has been presenting high-quality productions and projects from all areas of contemporary art. At the heart of the program is the interaction of music, performance, visual arts, literature, and new media.

The 60th edition of the festival is titled Red Flags. In the dating world, this term serves as an early warning system. At the same time, it is also a warning sign for any deviation from prescribed ideological lines. Where caution becomes the norm, open discourse is avoided. The steirischer herbst ’27 counters this trend and addresses pressing issues of our time. From September 23 to October 17, the audience in Graz and Styria can expect moving performances, stimulating discussions, and an exhibition that shows how global conflicts encroach upon the private sphere in an empty tavern. As every year, there will also be the festivals-within-the-festival ORF musikprotokoll and Out of Joint, as well as a rich partner program of local institutions.
