During the winter magic at Rabenstein Castle near Frohnleiten, the Advent atmosphere, regional handicrafts, culinary delights, singing, and Krampus come together against a historic backdrop.
When old castle walls meet the holiday spirit, December receives a particularly harmonious backdrop. From December 4. to December 8. Rabenstein Castle near Frohnleiten transforms into a Christmas market, where regional culture, craftsmanship, and winter programs come together. Each day of the event is under its own motto, and the exact program points are still being developed.
At the market, numerous exhibitors present arts and crafts and products from the region. Among the things to discover are wood art, blacksmith works, jewelry in various designs, natural cosmetics, and fine spices. There is also a selection of culinary delights: savory dishes and sweet treats are just as much a part of the winter wonderland as the cozy browsing among the market stalls.
The announced supporting program includes singing and Krampus. What will be offered on which day is still being worked out. The historic castle itself provides the appropriate scenery without any artificial winter filter: old walls, distinctive architecture, and a Christmas market that intentionally focuses on regional providers and culture.
Frohnleiten is accessible by public transport.
