Tinkering, crafting together, and ultimately bringing the self-built torch to light. In the torch building workshop by surWHYve in Weinitzen near Graz, children and adults experience the joy of creating something together with their own hands and then trying out the result.

At the woodland camp of surWHYve, cutting, wrapping, and building take place. Step by step, a personal torch is created from simple, partly reused materials. Children and adults can work together on ideas, help each other, and discover how a functional item can be made from just a few materials. Craft skills are just as important as curiosity and the joy of trying things out.

The workshop combines creative crafting with a nature experience in the Graz adventure region. The focus is on doing things together, discovering new skills, and the joy of having created something of one’s own.

Cost: € 49.00 for one adult + 1 child, each additional child € 15.00; online registration is required.

Note: Ankle-high shoes, suitable clothing, headlamp, small knife, and work gloves. If available, an old towel and old candle wax or a medium-sized candle.

Weinitzen is reachable by public transportation.
