Christmas sounds and festive anticipation! The Chamber Music Festival invites you to four atmospheric Advent concerts in December. From virtuosic piano melodies to traditional folk music and baroque Christmas carols, everything is included.
Advent season is music season! The Chamber Music Festival prepares for the Christmas season with four special concerts. High-caliber musicians, festive sounds, and impressive historical venues make December a musical delight.
The kickoff is on December 5, 2026 by Paul Gulda and Irina Vaterl in the summer refectory of the Rein Monastery. The virtuosic piano duo opens the Advent concerts with elegant musical interplay.
On December 8, 2026, the traditional Ausseer Advent is on the program in the Basilica of Rein Monastery. A festive folk music celebration that puts living customs and musical traditions in the spotlight.
It continues on December 12, 2026 in the Church of Maria Straßengel. The Oberton String Octet delights with the richness of sound from eight string instruments and ensures a special concert experience.
The festive conclusion is on December 20, 2026 with the Quadriga Consort at the Barthlmäer Advent. With baroque Christmas carols and lively interpretations of historical Christmas music, the concert series comes to a close.
