St James’s Day

Su., 19.07.2026 from 09:30 o'clock

The Jakobikirtag in Thal is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a festive service, morning pint, handicraft market, children's program, demonstration exercise, and regional live music.

Entry is free!

The Jakobikirtag has been a part of summer community life in Thal for a quarter of a century. On Sunday, July 19, 2026, the anniversary edition will focus on encounters, traditions, music, and regional engagement.

The day begins at 9:30 a.m. with a festive service. Afterwards, the Thal market music association accompanies the brunch. A handicrafts market, a children's program, and a demonstration by the volunteer fire department Steinberg-Rohrbach complete the program. Starting at 1:30 p.m., the WOAZ-Mafia will provide live music. Clubs and numerous exhibitors present their offerings, along with food and drinks.

A special program point is the class photos for those celebrating a milestone birthday in 2026. The group photos will be taken in front of the Thal logo at the Thalsaal. For the birth years from 1926 to 1996, staggered photo appointments are scheduled between 11:15 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

The initiative "Healthy in Thal" will also be present from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The health team offers free measurements and tests, including blood pressure, vitamin D, and blood sugar tests, as well as breathalyzer, bone density, and osteoporosis risk tests.

For guests from Graz and the region, the anniversary fair provides a concrete insight into the local club life and connects music, craftsmanship, family programs, and health care on a common festive day.

Thal can be reached by public transport.
