Open-air performance of ‘On your marks, get set, Lo...ve!’

With the comedy „On Your Marks, Get Set, Lo...ve!”, the Graz street theater brings summer outdoor theater to the courtyard of the Styrian State Archive in Graz again this year. The premiere will take place on July 2 at 8:00 p.m..

Everything seems perfectly planned: While Shirley and her husband are out of the house, she offers her best friend the use of her home for a secret romantic meeting. But suddenly, thick fog rolls in, disrupting all plans. Surprising visits, little white lies, and continuous misunderstandings trigger a turbulent game of hide and seek, where the amorous secrets of those involved gradually come to light.

The comedy by British bestselling author Derek Benfield thrives on fast-paced dialogues, witty confusions, and a wealth of quirky situations. Under the direction of Elisabeth Wondrack, Tamara Belic, Benjamin Daniczek, Andreas Dayé, Ulrike Emmer, Stephanie Laurich, and Leo Weingerl take to the stage. The lighting is designed by András Kurta.

The historic backdrop of the courtyard of the Styrian State Archive provides a special setting for the summer production in the open air. Thus, the Graz street theater combines classic boulevard comedy with outdoor atmosphere, ensuring an entertaining theater evening full of surprising twists and humorous entanglements.
