At the center of the 2026 edition is Gustav Mahler's monumental Symphony No. 2 c minor "Resurrection". The work will be performed in the Helmut List Hall in Graz by conductor Mei-Ann Chen together with the Styriarte Youth Orchestra. The sopranist Miriam Kutrowatz and the mezzo-sopranist Maria Hegele will be featured as soloists. Additionally, two choirs, the chor pro musica graz and mondo musicale, will participate in the performance.
The concert evening will be broadcast by ORF Steiermark on Friday, July 17, 2026, with a delayed start at 9:00 p.m. on Radio Steiermark, as well as at the Kursaal in Laßnitzhöhe with free admission. ORF III will show the concert simultaneously nationwide on television, and 3sat will air the recording on September 20, 2026. In
