On Sunday, the 29th of November 2026, a special event for fans of the Krampus and Perchten scene is scheduled at the Kreuzwirt Advent Garden in Thal near Graz. From 6:00 p.m., traditional Perchten will provide an extraordinary start to the Advent season.
During the Perchten appearance, those figures that have been part of the winter traditions in the alpine region for generations are in the spotlight. Characteristic masks, elaborately designed costumes, and the mysterious appearance of the Perchten create the special charm of this tradition. Particularly for enthusiasts of Krampus runs and Perchten performances, this is an opportunity to experience the customs up close.
The Kreuzwirt Advent Garden merges the performance with a cozy pre-Christmas setting. Mulled wine, waffles, handicrafts, and musical contributions are part of the inn's Advent program and provide a festive contrast to the frightening figures.
