The world is big – but time is short

A journey around the world in 80 days? No problem, says the English gentleman Phileas Fogg and bets £20,000 that he can accomplish this seemingly impossible task. The world is on the move: The Suez Canal is opened, and the railroad crosses America. Perfect conditions for a daring adventure. But right from the start, Fogg's plan wavers: His servant resigns, and the only replacement he has is Passepartout – curious, brave, and eager to explore the world.

Together, the two embark on a breathless journey around the globe. With steamship, train, carriage, and even on the back of an elephant, they experience foreign lands, face dangers, and rescue an Indian princess. As they grow closer to each other, the pressure also increases: A persistent detective is on their trail, convinced that Fogg is a wanted bank robber. When they finally reach London after 80 days, the bet seems lost – by just a few minutes. But through a surprising twist, Phileas Fogg ultimately wins the bet – and finds his happiness in the process.
