His uncompromising stance for a self-determined life, including the fight for the legalization of marijuana, repeatedly brought him to court. Explicit, at times vulgar texts also led to numerous conflicts with politics and the judiciary over issues of freedom of expression and artistic freedom. The musician found escape routes from the authorities' crackdowns through radical phrasing and brutal self-exposure at the beginning of his career.
Now he has become more reflective. He had to realize that he cannot change the attackers. This transformation is perhaps also a matter of age; Hans Söllner turned 70 years old in 2025 and has learned that his actions are a gift – that he is an ambassador. “I try to reassure people that they cannot be too inadequate for anything,” says Söllner. “Those who listen within themselves realize that life naturally establishes rules. It's just that we are systematically driven to believe that we can no longer have that feeling.”
The concert promises not only musical highlights but also a special atmosphere in which community and joy are at the forefront.
