Guided hike: Along the Roman Trail to Semriach

The challenging tour leads from Krautwasch over the Brendlalm through the expansive mountain landscape of Gleinalm to the Gleinalm shelter. With a bit of luck, you may observe the famous Lipizzaner mares with their foals in the meadow. Wonderful views, quiet alpine paths, and the special summit panorama make the hike a highlight in the Graz mountain region. Depending on the weather, a stop at the Gleinalm shelter or after returning to Übelbach is planned.

Meeting point: 8:15 a.m., Übelbach train station, followed by a shared transfer to Krautwasch

Trail length: 16 km | Ascent 600 hm | Descent 900 hm | Walking time approx. 6:00 hours

Duration of the hike: approx. until 4:00 p.m., after which return transfer to Übelbach and stop in Übelbach is planned

Arrival by public transport: by S-Bahn S1 and S11 to Übelbach train station, return trip is possible with shared taxi flux.at to Peggau station and S1, the mountain guide will assist with the reservation, not included

Degree of difficulty: long hike without particular difficulty, long descent from the shelter to Übelbach, fitness for approx. 6 hours of walking time and 900 meters of ascent and descent required.

Equipment: Good footwear (hiking boots) required, hiking clothing (layered principle), backpack, rain, wind & sun protection, possibly hiking poles, drink, snack, possibility of a stop at the Mühlbacherhütte

Costs: € 15.00 per person, payable on site to the guide
Service: Guided hike with certified mountain guides, transfer to/from Übelbach

The guided hike is conducted by the Graz Region Tourism Association in cooperation with the hiking guides. Please note that short-term changes may be possible. Participation is at your own risk.
