The Mariahilferkirche Graz will be the venue for an organ evening with Stanislav Yakovliev on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. The organist with ties to Ukraine and Germany will present a program featuring works from various periods of organ music starting at 8:00 p.m.
The program includes compositions by Johann Sebastian Bach and Dieterich Buxtehude as well as works by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Hugo Distler, and Herbert Bolterauer. Additional pieces complement the evening. In doing so, the concert spans from the baroque organ tradition through the Romantic era to more contemporary musical positions.
At the center is the tonal diversity of the organ and the interpretation by Stanislav Yakovliev. The selection connects well-known names from European music history with a Styrian composer, thereby opening different perspectives on the instrument's repertoire.
Admission fee: € 15.00 | € 20.00 The concert is part of the evening music series at the parish church Mariahilf.
