Der Nussknacker

The Nutcracker is the last and most successful work of the composer Peter Tchaikovsky. The plot of the ballet is based on the fantastical tale by the German Romantic E.T.A. Hoffmann "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King".

The story of a young girl who receives a nutcracker as a gift and dreams that he transforms into a fairy tale prince fascinates young and old around the world. For a few hours, one is transported from everyday life into the romantic and imaginative world of dreams and longings. After the guests have said their goodbyes on Christmas Eve, Clara goes back to her gifts. There she falls asleep. At midnight, the nutcracker and dolls come to life, and Clara suddenly finds herself in a magical realm. Snowflakes and dancing flowers accompany the girl on her journey to the land of the beautiful Sugar Fairy. A charming Christmas fairy tale that excites both small and large ballet fans at every performance. The world premiere of the ballet "The Nutcracker" took place at the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg in December 1892.

The show is presented by the International Ballet Company Italy – Artistic Director Alessandro Bonavita. The International Ballet Company Italia was founded in 2022 and unites the most charismatic and talented dancers from around the world. This ballet company consists of 40 professional dancers who hold diplomas from the most prestigious institutions' choreographic schools from various countries. The company's repertoire includes the most significant works of the international repertoire: Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Giselle. The mastery of the ballet of the IBC Italia company is appreciated on various theater stages in Poland, Croatia, Spain, and Italy.
