Concert: Ladies' Choice

When three female musicians from different regions of Austria stand together on stage, a sound emerges that feels familiar yet explores new paths. The Ensemble Damenwahl will present its unique mix of folk music, chamber music, and original arrangements on June 26, 2026 at the Baroque Hall of Rabenstein Castle in Frohnleiten. With harp, hammered dulcimer, flutes, double bass, guitar, clarinet, Styrian harmonica, and vocals, an evening full of fine transitions between tradition and present day will unfold.

Katrin Unterlercher, Renate Linortner, and Christina Fischbacher met as teachers at the Woodstock Academy. From this encounter, an ensemble emerged that brings together diverse musical experiences. At the center are melodies rooted in folk music, along with excursions into the world of opera, serene ballads, and rhythmic tango sounds. Each musician contributes her own signature, creating a lively program filled with a variety of tones.
