When choral singing and brass music come together, Advent becomes musically alive. On Wednesday, the 2nd of December 2026, an Advent concert will take place in the parish church of Köflach, where two musical ensembles will jointly provide pre-Christmas sounds.

The Choir Community Schutzengel Graz and the Music Association Gestüt Piber will create a concert evening that is entirely dedicated to the Advent season. Here, the diversity of the human voice combines with the characteristic sounds of brass music. The parish church of Köflach forms the atmospheric backdrop for this musical encounter.

The Choir Community Schutzengel Graz is under the musical direction of Suyoung Ham, MA. Together with the Music Association Gestüt Piber, a connection between two different musical expressions is formed, which shapes the special character of the Advent concert.

The concert brings together musicians from Graz and Köflach and underscores the vibrant choir and brass music tradition of Styria. At the same time, it offers a contemplative musical evening during the pre-Christmas season, where communal music-making is the focus.
