60 Years of the Jaklhof

On August 1st starting at 11:00 a.m., the Jaklhof is celebrating its 60th anniversary. At the same time, the anniversary celebration marks the beginning of the event series Slow Region Genuss hoch 13 and connects the history of the farm with regional culinary delights, music, and insights into the participating businesses.

The program begins at 11:00 a.m. with an ecumenical thanksgiving service. At 12:00 p.m., there will be the baptism of a parade tomato variety and “Aunt Franzi's kidney bean,” speeches, and information about the development of the Jaklhof and the Slow Region Genuss hoch 13. Starting at 1:30 p.m., the pur naturhof will take over catering. The culinary offerings will be complemented by stone coffee, cake, and ice cream.

From 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., the partner businesses will present themselves. A colorful children's program will accompany the afternoon. Under the title “Einischaun in den Garten,” there are two scheduled program points at 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. that will highlight the farm's garden. The tombola will begin at 5:30 p.m.

At 7:00 p.m., the program point “We sow the future, we sow life, we plant the future, we plant life” will follow. From 8:00 p.m., the anniversary celebration will conclude with a campfire, party, and DJ. Live music will be provided by the family band Stix, Lucia Froihofer, and Spafudla. Thus, the celebration connects six decades of farm history with the themes of regionality, food culture, and community engagement.
