This is a moderately difficult hiking tour, but promises fantastic views!

This route offers a view of St. Peter am Kammersberg from above. You hike mostly off the busy main road, through the forest in serpentines to the viewpoint. This means you can really enjoy the nature of the Murau region.

Coming from Judenburg via Unzmarkt to Scheifling. Turn right here and drive towards Murau. In Katsch in der Mur keep right again and drive to St. Peter am Kammersberg. Feistritz Castle is located shortly after St. Peter am Kammersberg on the right-hand side.

Coming from Tamsweg, drive via Ranten (or Stadl an der Mur) to Murau. Keep left here and drive via Schöder to St. Peter am Kammersberg. Feistritz Castle is located just before St. Peter am Kammersberg on the left.

From the starting point S6, follow the signs through the town of Feistritz, first cross the state road and walk along a forest and meadow path to "Kretzenbründl" - stage 5. You continue a short distance to the gravel road where you turn right. From there a shady forest path, always slightly uphill, takes you to the farm. "Maxriapl" (group farm, 250 years old).

There you turn around and hike back into the valley through the town of Mitterdorf and then back to the starting point.
