Coming from Judenburg via Unzmarkt to Scheifling. Turn right here towards Murau. In Murau, keep left after the first roundabout and drive to Murau train station.Coming from Murau via Ranten (or Stadl an der Mur), always drive straight to Murau. Keep right at the double roundabout and drive across the main square to Murau train station.
Public parking spaces are available at the train station in Murau.

From Murau, we follow the Murradweg trail for a while toward St. Georgen am Kreischberg. At Kaindorf, we turn left before the railroad crossing and follow the road, then the gravel road, and finally a trail to the Krische on the Frauenalpe. From there, we follow the trail to the summit of the Frauenalpe. The return trip follows the same route back to the Murauer Hütte. From there, we follow the road downhill from the Frauenalpe to Murau.
