Wonderful winter hike to the Kleinlachtalhütte and back again.

The trail leads uphill along a snow-cleared path to the Kleinlachtalhütte, a mountain hut with food and drink service, which is located right on the ski slope of the ski resort. After a refreshing stop for refreshments, the trail leads back along the same path to the starting point.

From D, NL, B, F: Via Munich, Salzburg, Tauernautobahn to St. Michael/Lungau (or Radstätter Tauernpaß), turn off to Tamsweg - Murau, Lachtal.

From H: Via St. Gotthard, Graz - Packautobahn (Twimberg exit) - Judenburg - Oberzeiring - Lachtal.

From CH: Via Arlberg, Innsbruck, Bischofshofen, Tauernautobahn to St. Michael/Lungau (or Radstätter Tauernpaß), turn off to Tamsweg - Murau, Lachtal.

From I: Via Tarvis, Villach, St. Veit/Glan, Scheifling, Niederwölz, Lachtal.

By car from Vienna: Via Semmering, Bruck/Mur, Judenburg, Oberzeiring, Lachtal.

Parking is available directly at the parking lot at the valley station of the 6-seater chairlift at Lachtal.

From the starting point, we head left, passing the Lachtalhaus on our way to the cross-country ski trail in the Lachtal. There, we follow the trail, passing the Reifhütte on the right, to the Kleinlachtalhütte. We arrive there in about an hour; the return trip follows the same route we took on the way up.
