Wonderful winter hike to the Kleinlachtalhütte and back again.

On a winter hike to the Kleinlachtalhütte you can hear the snow crunching under your feet and the snow crystals dancing in the sunlight. The winter hiking trail has been cleared of snow. At the Kleinlachtalhütte, the landlady welcomes you and pampers you with culinary delicacies. Let go of the stress of everyday life and enjoy the time. The hike to the Kleinlachtalhütte takes about 2 hours.

From D, NL, B, F: Via Munich, Salzburg, Tauernautobahn to St. Michael/Lungau (or Radstätter Tauernpaß), turn off to Tamsweg - Murau, Lachtal.

From H: Via St. Gotthard, Graz - Packautobahn (Twimberg exit) - Judenburg - Oberzeiring - Lachtal.

From CH: Via Arlberg, Innsbruck, Bischofshofen, Tauernautobahn to St. Michael/Lungau (or Radstätter Tauernpaß), turn off to Tamsweg - Murau, Lachtal.

From I: Via Tarvis, Villach, St. Veit/Glan, Scheifling, Niederwölz, Lachtal.

By car from Vienna: Via Semmering, Bruck/Mur, Judenburg, Oberzeiring, Lachtal.

From the starting point, go left, past the Lachtalhaus towards the cross-country ski trail at Lachtal. There you simply follow the path to the right past the Reifhütte to the Kleinlachtalhütte until you arrive there after about 1 hour. The way back is on the ascent route.

Parking is available directly at the parking lot at the valley station of the 6-seater chairlift at Lachtal.

The ideal time for the tour is from January to April. Information brochures are available at the various information offices.
