Beautiful tour from Murau through the forest to the Frauenalpen summit.

The length and the elevation gain should not be underestimated on this ski tour. In this regard, a certain level of fitness and endurance is required. However, trudging through the forest you can really enjoy the untouched nature on the Frauenalpe.

Coming from Judenburg via Unzmarkt to Scheifling. Turn right here towards Murau. In Murau turn left towards Schlatting.

Coming from Tamsweg via Ranten or Stadl an der Mur, always drive straight on to Murau. In Murau keep right towards Schlatting.

In the Schlatting, starting at the parking spaces on a mostly prepared ski route to the Alpengasthof Krische. From there on the road to the Murauer Hütte, which is already visible. Continue on the ski route, past the former cheese factory to the tree line, from where you can reach the summit in a southwesterly direction across open alpine pastures. The descent takes place on the ascent path.

Public parking spaces are available in Schlatting or in the city of Murau.
