You can easily reach these offers with public transport in the Murau region. The Murau Guest Card is valid from 1. May to 2. November. You will receive the Murau Guest Card free of charge at check-in for stays at one of the designated Guest Card partner businesses.

The guest card is valid for the entire duration of your stay, from 2.00 pm on the day of arrival. Two of the more than 25 inclusive services can be used per day. In addition, there are many different discounts that will accompany you throughout your holiday. We wish you a unique holiday in the Murau adventure region with breathtaking experiences.

With the Murau GuestCard, you can use public transport in the Murau region free of charge and make a contribution to the environment! Whether you want to go on an excursion or a hike, the public buses, trains and valley buses offer many options. Simply get on, take your seat and get off at your destination! With the Murau GuestCard you can use public transport free of charge from 2.00 pm on the day of arrival! The public transport is fully usable as part of the inclusive services.

Murtalbahn railway

The narrow-gauge railway takes you daily in two-hour sections from Tamsweg via Murau to Unzmarkt and back again. There are numerous boarding and exiting points along the way. The Murau GuestCard can also be used as a ticket here.

Would you like to cycle a section of the Mur Cycle Path? The Murtalbahn will take you to the desired starting point. Bicycles can be taken on the Murtalbahn Railway if there is enough space. With the Murau GuestCard, this is even free of charge!

Bus connections in the Murau region

11 bus routes connect the entire Murau region! Whether as a supplement to the Murtalbahn railway or as an independent line to the many valleys and plateaus of the region, the bus lines take you to many places in the Murau district and beyond.

Valley bus

Hiking and public transport don't go together? Not in the Murau region!

The valley bus takes you to your desired hiking starting point, for example to the Möslhütte, the Rantensee or Etrachsee in the Krakau, but also via Schöder and Gröbming to the Breitlahnalm and back again. You can easily reach the Kreischberg with the Murtalbahn railway and the Grebenzen with the 885 bus from Neumarkt to Murau...

Guests receive the Murau Guest Card when staying for at least 2 nights at participating Guest Card partner establishments. The Murau Guest Card is issued by the Guest Card partner establishments at check-in on the day of arrival in the form of a scratch card or digitally via the digital holiday companion Murli.

The GuestCard is included for guests who have booked with a GuestCard partner accommodation.

No, the Murau GuestCard cannot be purchased. The Murau GuestCard is only available for stays of two nights or more at participating GuestCard partner establishments.

The Murau Guest Card is valid for the entire stay when staying for at least two nights between 1 May and 2 November, from 2 p.m. on the day of arrival.

The Murau Guest Card provides free admission to over 25 attractions in the Murau region, as well as discounts at popular attractions in and outside the Murau region. These include mountain railways, museums, leisure and sports facilities, swimming pools and nature experiences.

How many attractions can be visited with it?
Two inclusive partners can be visited free of charge per day., and many of our partners offer discounted admission if this service has already been used. Mountain railways include one ascent and descent per stay.
