Europaburg Forchtenstein
Information
The Forchtenstein Castle/Europahaus Neumarkt in Styria was opened after its adaptation by the European Federalist Movement on July 7, 1957, and is the first of its kind in Austria. It was named Europahaus after its founder, Karl Brunner. This house was always ahead of its time and has played the role of a youth meeting place and educational center for European federalism. Day seminars and lecture evenings on current and sensitive topics shape the annual program. The international youth meetings, seminars, and the Europe Forum contribute to deepening European awareness across all circles of the population. A House of Hospitality The Europahaus, with its unique romance, also provides space for events from many institutions, school groups, performances by artists, family reunions, and festivities of all kinds. In addition to the meeting room, there are further lounge areas, a kitchen, and 49 sleeping places available.
