Spend your vacation in the heart of nature: The Appartement-Pension Zirbenwald is not only built right in the pine forest, but the cozy comfort rooms are also furnished exclusively with the finest natural materials. Relaxation and recuperation in soothing, sleep-promoting pine air are offered by the small, very fine Appartement-Pension Zirbenwald. Right in the middle of the pine forest and also at the center of activity, you will spend the best time of the year on the Turracher High Plateau at an elevation of 1,800 meters. In just a 10-minute walk, you can reach crystal-clear alpine lakes: Lake Turracher, Lake Grünsee, and a bit further away, Lake Schwarzsee. Idyllic hiking trails lead directly through the pine forest to blooming alpine pastures. The ski slopes, cross-country ski trails, and ski school of Turracher Höhe are only a stone's throw away. 38 kilometers of ski slopes with all levels of difficulty and 25 kilometers of cross-country trails on the Turrach promise unclouded winter fun. Comfortable cable cars will take you to the well-prepared slopes. Snow reliability is also guaranteed in one of the snowiest areas of Austria. A fairytale winter landscape awaits you and your little ones. Building snowmen, having snowball fights, or simply frolicking in the pine forest brings joy. The gentle Nockberge mountains surrounding the small town of Turracher Höhe provide an impressive alpine panorama. Based on your mood, desire, and of course your fitness level, you can choose from a variety of hiking tours and walks. The largest pine forest in Europe, blooming alpine meadows, three crystal-clear mountain lakes, and the fresh, spicy air make every excursion something truly special. And your children can really let loose here. In summer, the pine forest around our Appartement-Pension is a true adventure playground. The Turrach is an ideal starting point for excursions through Kärnten. A good start to the day is the delicious breakfast buffet served daily from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Enjoy homemade jams, fresh fruit, ham and cheese specialties, or a perfectly cooked breakfast egg, along with some truly crusty Turracher bread. Everything tastes even better in the cozy pine room. After an eventful day, we offer you a hearty dinner from Sunday to Friday in the ground floor of the newly built wellness temple throughout the winter.
