The Risen One

The statue by the artist Siegfried Burgstaller from Aichegg can be found at the Teufenbach-Katsch cemetery. "The Risen One" was created in 2010.

The sight has the following features:

• Ground leaf: trefoil, which stands for the Trinity
• Trefoil: this contains the five elements - fire, earth, water, air and the spirit
• Anchor cross: This symbol (also known as the crescent moon cross) is a sign of salvation - the anchor of Christian hope
• Alpha and Omega: The first and last letters of the Greek alphabet. The words of Jesus - I am the A and the O, the first and the last, the beginning and the end
• Oil lamp: Jesus: "I am the light of the world". The oil lamp reminds us not to "hide our light under a bushel". The light is also a symbol of the Holy Spirit in people
• Circle: The circle is a much-used symbolic sign. It is a symbol of unity, of the absolute, the perfect and therefore the divine. The circle is a symbol of heaven and the All-One. As an infinite line, it is a symbol of infinity, but also of temporality - visualized in recurrence
• Spiral: Spirals are symbols of cycles, unfolding, renewal or "evolution" in the mystical-cosmic sense
• Square: Symbol of the earth - in contrast to the circle (which symbolizes heaven), the square points to earthly existence, to static perfection and the resulting immutability. In symbolism, it is the fixed element (death) in contrast to the dynamic circle (life and movement)
• Pentagram: 5th element = spirit; the pentagram symbolizes the figure of man with outstretched arms and legs and is thus a symbol for man and the human microcosm. Sometimes also represents the 5 wounds of Christ;
