St. Georgen am Kreischberg
The power plant was built by STEWEAG between 1979 and 1982. It has been operated by Verbund Hydro Power GmbH since 1996.
The power plant consists of two facilities, namely the Bodendorf-Mur run-of-river power plant and the Bodendorf-Paal storage power plant, which share a powerhouse. On average, around 84 gigawatt hours of electricity are generated here every year. That is significantly more than would be needed to supply all households in the district.
