St. Lambrecht

The beautiful garden complex with the pavilion in its center was created in the mid-17th century according to the plans of the Admont court gardener Hans Strudl and the monastery master builder Domenico Sciassia.
In 2004, the four-part baroque structure of the garden was restored according to the plans of landscape architect DI Dr. Karin Hochegger. The redesign of the individual quarters is based, on one hand, on the four elements fire, water, earth, and air, and on the other hand, on four significant stages of Christian salvation history.

The Abbey Garden in St. Lambrecht is a jewel for reflection, for meditation, and for experiencing nature and art. One can enjoy the garden with all senses while working with and in nature. The interaction with colors and scents acts like balm for the soul. Self-made products can be purchased at the gardener's house or in the monastery shop.

Since 2004, the association domenico has been dedicated to the revitalization, use, and maintenance of the 3.5-hectare Abbey Garden, connecting social, cultural, ecological, and economic aspects.
