In order to establish wood as an ideal building material for climate-friendly and energy-efficient buildings, Austria's first climate protection supermarket was built and opened in 2010.

The passive building made from sustainable building materials such as wood and stone was designed as an international pilot project. Equipped with modern climate-friendly technology, the building is ÖGNI certified.
