The young designer has been dealing with clothing all her life. Growing up in her mother's tailoring studio, she began to learn sewing at a young age. After attending the fashion school in Graz, the step to self-employment was not far. At the age of 21 she dared to take this step and made her dream come true. Initially working as a bespoke tailor, after 3 years she wanted to give her work more depth and background. It is time to change the fashion world, which is why Scheinheilig has not only made it its business to manufacture sustainable clothing and accessories, but also to convey values such as the conscious use of raw materials and responsible behavior.
Why?
Child labor, the clearing of the rainforest, environmental pollution and destruction, the exploitation of entire countries and continents, wars and crises in all parts of the world and hardly any improvement in sight - we hardly come into contact with all these problems, challenges and injustice in the western world . And even the few points of contact that come about through the media, aid organizations, etc. are avoided and ignored as best as possible - or the conscience is calmed with a monthly 5 € donation and the use of Fairtrade coffee capsules. After we have become more and more aware over the last few years how much each and every one of us contributes to all the grievances with our own way of life, we have decided to take responsibility for our actions and not continue to close our eyes - “Be the change yourself that you wish for this world ”. At the end of 2016 we had gathered enough strength, courage and ideas to continue this change “professionally” and to come one step closer to our claim to integrity.
As?
Combine our individual skills and create something sustainable that not only gives us benefit and pleasure, but also our fellow human beings. From this principle a concrete mission soon took root, namely to manufacture ethically justifiable, sustainable clothing and accessories. With creations that are minimalist and timeless, we want to address the broadest possible audience and thus encourage them to make more conscious purchasing decisions. In the best case, sustainable and also apart from clothing.
