Burnt lime was once used as a construction material and, due to its high pH value, as a classic disinfectant. With these industrial revolution, these small kilns, and the knowledge, disappeared. A few years ago, the nature park association restored the old lime kiln and burnt lime according to the old tradition. It is used primarily in the renovation of historical buildings.

With the revitalization of the lime kiln, the knowledge of the traditional production of quicklime was rediscovered, which is now used as a building material in the renovation of historical buildings.
