Haslerhube

St. Georgen am Kreischberg

The wooden courtyard is one of the last of its kind in Styria.

The Haslerhube is also one of the very last smokehouse buildings still standing in its original location. The smokehouse kitchen with its open stove and oven belongs to a type of house that was only common in a few inner-Alpine high valleys. It gives an insight into the way of life in days long gone. The property also includes a special natural monument, namely a mighty 14-trunked lime tree.
