The cross country skiing center

In the cross-country skiing center Weirerteich - in the heart of Austria. Not for nothing it is said, in the Laßnitz lies the Weirerteich and all around is Austria. The cross-country skiing center is located in the border area of the municipalities of Murau (St. Laßnitz) and Sankt Lambrecht. The heart of the cross-country skiing network is the snow-covered 4km long Weirerteich trail. Here is also the main entry point directly at the Setz di nieder Stüberl with ample parking and the cross-country ski rental / store of Sport Maier. If the weather is good, you can continue on the 4 km long valley trail to the Freizeitwirt in St. Laßnitz. From here the 6,1km long circuit of the Dorfloipe leads you to Carinthia (Kärnterisch Laßnitz) and back to Styria (Steirisch Laßnitz).

The Weirerteich cross-country ski trail, which has been awarded the Styrian cross-country ski trail quality seal, has been equipped with a powerful snow-making system since the 2016/2017 winter season. With the help of the 3 snow machines, it is possible to produce machine snow for the 4.1km long Weirerteich trail within 8-10 days at suitable temperatures. Our trails are freshly groomed for you every day, for more fun in your cross-country skiing!

Floodlit fun Tues. & Thurs.

From December to the beginning of March, since the winter season 2017/2018, our floodlit trail is available to you every Tuesday and Thursday from 18:00 - 21:00. Start of the floodlit trail is at the Setz die nieder Stüberl, from there you can pull on 2km of the Weirerteichloipe also at night your rounds . On these days also the cross-country ski rental store of Sport Maier is open for you until 21:00! Floodlight from Thursday 15.12.2022 from 18:00 to 21:00 clock (then always Tues. and Thurs.)

Biathlon fascination

For all enthusiastic ski hunters, are available at the Weirerteichloipe 2 air pressure biathlon stands. Every Wednesday and Sunday between 14:00 - 15:00 o'clock you have the possibility to prove your marksmanship under expert guidance - with advance reservation at Sport Maier. (On other days and times also possible with advance reservation).
