Sacred evening music

On Friday, September 4, 2026, you are invited to a spiritual evening music event at 7:00 PM in the Collegiate Church, conducted by Michael Schadler.
According to tradition, the founder of the St. Lambrecht Abbey, Markgraf Markward von Eppenstein, passed away on June 16, 1076. Traditionally, anniversaries were set from this year onward. Thus, the 950th anniversary is approaching in 2026, starting with the year-end mass on December 31, 2025. Larger and smaller events will fill the anniversary year 2026, providing opportunities not only to reflect on a rich history but also to bring the present life and work of the monastery into awareness and to dare to look into the future.
