By car from Germany
From Munich via the A8 towards Salzburg. From Salzburg on the A10 Tauernautobahn to St. Michael im Lungau. Take the B 96 to Tamsweg, then continue on the B 95 to Predlitz. The B 97 leads via Stadl/Mur to Murau. At the traffic circle there, take the direction of St. Lambrecht as far as Murau railroad station and continue in the direction of St. Lambrecht. You reach St. Lambrecht via Laßnitz near Murau.
Arrival from Eastern Austria/Hungary
At the highway junction in St. Michael near Leoben, take the S 36 towards Klagenfurt. Drive past Knittelfeld and Judenburg to Scheifling. In Scheifling continue in the direction of Klagenfurt to Neumarkt, via Unzmarkt and Perchau am Sattel you reach Neumarkt. There turn right towards Mariahof and St. Lambrecht. In Mariahof, turn left after the railroad crossing towards St. Lambrecht.
Arrival from southern Austria/Italy
Take the S37 via Klagenfurt past St. Veit/Glan, Treibach and Friesach. In Friesach continue in the direction of Vienna, via Dürnstein and Wildbad to Neumarkt. After the town center of Neumarkt turn left towards Murau, in Mariahof turn left after the level crossing towards St. Lambrecht.

The trail starts near the Auerlingsee lake at around 1,338 m above sea level and leads down to St. Lambrecht over a distance of around 1 km, covering an altitude difference of around 109 m. With an average gradient of -10.9% and a maximum gradient of -45%, the trail offers both flow and technical sections that are suitable for riders of intermediate ability.
Parking spaces are available directly at the Auerlingsee.
