Orchids are rightly regarded as the "gemstones" of the local flora. The diversity of their blossom beauty is particularly fascinating in the Gesäuse National Park.
Macros photography is thus an ideal tool to showcase these treasures – provided the available recording options are used optimally. Karin and Gerhard Vlcek are true masters of this art and perfectly know how to pass on their knowledge to the course participants. You can expect an eventful day in the midst of one of Austria's "orchid hotspots," the Gesäuse National Park!

Who are Karin Rollet-Vlcek and Gerhard Vlcek?
Karin Rollett-Vlcek is a board member of VTNÖ and a passionate nature photographer with a special preference for native orchids and butterflies. It is her concern to convey the beauty and fascination of nature to the viewers of her pictures.
Gerhard Vlcek, professionally active as a project manager, he seeks in his spare time the balance in nature photography. The main focus of his photographic work is macro photography of the local fauna and flora. Member of the VTNÖ.
