As a native of Burgau, Georg Borckenstein grew up in the Hartberg-Fürstenfeld region and is thus familiar with the land, people, and customs. He is already an "old hand" in the gastronomy industry, as he has been working in this field since the age of 14.
Whether in the kitchen, bar, or service – he has worked in all areas and traveled internationally. In 2002, he decided to become self-employed, which led him to settle in Graz. A few years later, the passionate wine drinker with a fondness for tennis, sports, and nature returned to his roots. “Do bin i daham” applies not only to him in his Styrian Style Tapas Bar in Fürstenfeld, but also to all guests.
Warm kitchen: Tue.-Fri. from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM "Lunch Menu" and from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Saturday: from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM "Slow Start to the Weekend" (only on Saturdays) and from 11:00 AM "Tapas"

Welcome to our wine cabinet!
Enjoying good wine at BORCKENSTEIN is very straightforward: We offer a diverse selection of regional wines, as well as national and international classics. Step into our "Walk-in Wine Menu", browse a bit, and take your time to choose your wine. All bottled wines have a take-away price; if you consume them on-site, a small corkage fee will be added. Additionally, there is a large selection of open wines – by the way, we change our "Favorite Winemakers" monthly.
