Every year at Christmas, Peter Rosegger walked from the house where he was born to his favorite church in St. Kathrein am Hauenstein for Christmas mass. In his honor, many people still meet on Christmas Eve to walk the Christmetttenwanderung together with torches and lanterns. If you want to learn more about the life of Peter Rosegger, the exhibition next to the parish church is the right place to go - it shows his impressions of his tailor master "Naz" and the village life in St. Kathrein and is an absolute must not only for those interested in culture!
