The ski area Hauereck in St. Kathrein am Hauenstein is a snow-sure ski area for demanding winter sports enthusiasts.

The Ski-Waldheimat in the northern part of the Joglland - Waldheimat region is a tip for all skiers.

With a total piste length of 5 km, the Hauereck is an ideal winter sports area for families, as well as for advanced skiers and snowboarders. Snowmaking facilities for all three slopes ensure high snow reliability. There is a 4-person chairlift, 2 rope tows, and a magic carpet. A ski school and a ski rental are also available.

Dining options include 2 huts, a bar with umbrellas on weekends, and the Genussgasthof Willenshofer.
