Styrian Summer Art: Flowing forms—fine metal castings
General Information
Workshop Description:
In this workshop, you will create small-scale sculptures and jewelry objects.
We will work with traditional casting techniques such as Ossa-Sepia casting and sand casting, as well as playful direct casting in natural forms. The metals used will be tin, bronze, and silver.
The workshop imparts tried-and-true methods of metal casting while also allowing plenty of room for individual design and exploratory work. With tin, surfaces and structures from nature can be easily cast – a playful approach that enables one to fully engage with the fascination of flowing and solidifying metal. Individual works can also be realized in silver or bronze.
The workshop will take place in my studio at Pöllauberg. We will work both outdoors and in the well-equipped sculptor's workshop, utilizing the surroundings as a source of inspiration and materials.
