Graf Meran-Haus

The cottage The Graf-Meran-Haus is at an altitude of 1,836 m. The managed refuge is located in the Mürzsteg Alps, below the summit of the Hohen Veitsch in Styria. The gentle alpine landscape and the flowery limestone of the Hohen Veitsch characterize the surroundings. The refuge is located on long-distance hiking trails such as the Northern Alpine Trail and is an important base for pilgrims on the way to Mariazell. The scenic crossing from the Graf-Meran-Haus plateau over the summit of the Hohen Veitsch, the Seeboden and the Seebodenhütte to the Grundbauernhütte is a very popular hike and takes about 2:30 hours. Magnificent views are guaranteed. Life in the hut It's quiet at the refuge.
