Ski lifts
Small, fine & family-friendly - that's how it's done on the pistes in the Gesäuse. Whether at the Kaiserau family ski area with magic carpets, Sportalm, Schloss or Brunntal lift, the Bärenseitenlift in Johnsbach, the Weißenbach/Liezen ski lift, Dorflift Landl, Hammerbodenlift Großreifling, Kaiserlindenlift Gams, Stadtwaldlift Rottenmann, Buchsteinlift St. Gallen or the lifts in Wildalpen - here you can make your turns without the hustle and bustle of the masses.

Ardninger Alm
Open from 3 December 2025 Thursday to Sunday
The Ardning Alm is your winter retreat between Ennstal and Gesäuse: short journey, great tranquillity, clear air. Here you can trudge along wide tracks to the viewpoint, make your own trail with snowshoes or simply enjoy the sun and crunching snow. Families, connoisseurs and photography enthusiasts alike will find something to suit them – with views of the mountains and plenty of space for your own winter moments. Please pay attention to the conditions and only set off with suitable equipment.

Open on Fridays and Saturdays when snow and weather conditions are suitable.
Sportalm on the Kaiserau
Open daily from 25 December 2025, from 9 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. (kitchen open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.)
