The “Let’s go Bio” hiking tour winds through the diverse cultural landscape of the Styrian Volcanic Region and invites you to experience organic farming up close. The starting point is Straden, with its four churches on Himmelsberg that are visible from afar—a distinctive cultural landmark of the region. Along the route, you’ll hike from organic farm to organic farm and discover the diversity of regional food production. QR codes along the way provide additional information about organic farming, the farms, and the people behind them. The tour is particularly suitable for leisure hikers, nature enthusiasts, and anyone who wants to explore the Vulkanland at a leisurely pace.

Coming from Vienna or Graz via the A2, exit Gleisdorf Süd, continue on the B68 to Feldbach, B66 in the direction of Bad Gleichenberg to Straden, follow the state road to Straden.Detailed information on how to get here can be found here.
The hike begins in Straden am Himmelsberg. From there, the route winds through the gently rolling hills of the Vulkanland region, passing several organic farms in the area. Along the way, information boards offer interesting insights into organic farming and the unique features of each farm. The route combines nature exploration with regional cuisine and winds through a typical Vulkanland landscape of meadows, fields, and orchards. You’ll then return to the starting point in Straden.
Combine your hike with a stroll through Straden and enjoy the view from the four churches on Himmelsberg. The Vulkanland landscape is at its most beautiful, especially in the morning or evening hours.
