Beginning with prehistoric and early historical traces of settlement, the eventful history of the origin and development of the town of Bad Radkersburg is shown in a total of twelve exhibition rooms on an area of about 500 square meters: its economic and cultural prosperity as a trading center and fortress town from the late 13th to the early 16th century. Its economic prosperity as a trading center and fortress town from the late 13th to the early 16th century, its subsequent decline in the 17th and 18th centuries due to wars, religious conflicts and catastrophes such as the plague, the two world wars in the first half of the 20th century, which had far-reaching consequences for the town, and finally its development into today's important spa and tourist resort. The basis of the presentation is the art and cultural history collection of the house, which includes, among other things, one of the largest closed collections of guild chests in Europe or a number of prehistoric and early historic finds. The objects are presented to visitors in a staged exhibition.

In addition to the permanent exhibition, one or two special exhibitions are held annually in the rear part of the building.
