Since the redesign in 2002, a fountain basin measuring around 10 by 10 meters has surrounded the Marian column. 14 water columns, like the 14 communities of our former district, offer an impressive water feature. 8 benches correspond to the eight cities of Eastern Styria and invite you to linger.

The Marienbrunnen was erected in 1668 in gratitude for the averting of the Turkish danger four years after the Battle of Mogersdorf.
