From Mariazell we go via Mitterbach and the Schindelgraben to the idyllic Hubertussee. Then via the Rechengraben back to Mariazell.

The Hubertussee circuit takes us past clear lakes and deep forests, high mountains and rushing streams. Here you can explore the Mariazell region in all its beauty on a mountain bike.

Via the Westautobahn (A1 from Salzburg or Vienna) to the exit Ybbs or St. Pölten/Süd, then B 20 to Mariazeller Land.

From the south to Bruck/Mur - Kapfenberg, then B 20 over the Seebergpass into Mariazeller Land.

Parkingplace in St. Sebastian

We start in St. Sebastian and drive on the B20 in the direction of Mitterbach. Shortly after the Erlauf reservoir in Mitterbach we turn right at the first bend onto the forest road (marked "Hubertussee-Runde"). Over the Schindelsattel (ascent) we continue towards Fadental. Passing the Hubertussee we go through the Rechengraben and along the Walster again to the junction with the B21. Here turn right towards Mariazell and over the last climb - the Kreuzberg - back to Mariazell and on to St. Sebastian.

If you want to make a detour into the town, turn right at the junction towards the center and continue via Mariazell's main square and Grazerstraße into Dr. Ludwig Leber Gasse back onto the bypass road (B20) to St. Sebastian.

A few tips for safe e-mountain biking:

Before each ride, it's important to check your bike to make sure it's in good working order. In doing so, it is important to note the following:

The optimal saddle height is selected so that the leg is almost fully extended when sitting on the lower pedal.
The battery is fully charged.
The displays on the bike computer on the handlebars are complete.
The tires of the e-bike are in good condition and have sufficient pressure.
The helmet is part of the tour

Consider in advance what equipment you need to take with you: warm clothing, rain and wind protection, repair kit and first aid kit belong in the backpack, as well as a charged cell phone and, if necessary, a recharging cable for the battery.
