The trail is about 1.5km long and leads from just below the Schönleitenhaus (www.schoenleitenhaus.at) along the alpine road across the "paradise" to the alpine floor.

At 300 meters of altitude there are numerous jetties, tables, northshores and pumps that make the trail an experience for bikers. The Windgrubentrail was built with the least possible interference with nature in order to meet the requirements of nature conservation in this area. Once you arrive at the Almboden, you have several options: go back up to the Schönleitenhaus to tackle the WGT again, stop for a bite to eat at the Almrauschhütte - or continue straight on across the Almboden to the AB trail.

Infrastructure: Self-Repair-Stations and Bike-Wash

Ascent to the Aflenzer Bürgeralm: Via the panoramic road or with the double chairlift (operating times at www.aflenzer-buergeralm.at).

Double chairlift: single ride 10,- (adults), 6,- (children) / day ticket 20,- (adults), 15,- (children) / season ticket € 200,- (adults), € 150,- (children).

From the south: On the S35 to Bruck, from there on the S6 to Kapfenberg and further on the B20 to Aflenz Kurort.

Ascent with the double chair lift (www.aflenzer-buergeralm.at) or via the Panoarama road (toll road) to the Aflenz Bürgeralm.

There are sufficient parking spaces at the valley station of the double chairlift and at the Aflenzer Bürgeralm.
