From Langenwang over the Feistritzberg to the Malleisten Alm

We start our tour in the centre of Langenwang and cycle along the main road (Grazer Straße) towards Krieglach. At the ‘Hohenwangstraße’ junction, we turn right and follow the R5 Mürztalradweg signposts. Now we cycle leisurely along the R5 until the turn-off into the Feistritzgraben at Feistritz Castle. We follow the markings of the steadily ascending mountain bike route and finally reach the path to the Malleistenalm, the last section of which is identical to the access road from Krieglach. We can take a long break at the Malleistenalm hut. On the descent, we can choose from 2 options: either the same route back or the descent to Krieglach. Here we follow the route from the Malleisten to Krieglach and - once in the valley - turn left back onto the R5 Mürztal cycle path and follow this until we arrive back in the centre of Langenwang.

• Please stay on the designated paths!
• Please keep to the ‘nature opening times’: March and October 9am-5pm, April and September 8am-6pm, May to August - 7pm
• Please do not leave any rubbish behind!
• Hikers and pedestrians have priority!
• Please ride responsibly and at half speed!
• Please only ride a technically sound bike!

 A few tips for safe mountain biking: 

• Check your bike air pressure, spoke tension and brake pads after every tour.
• A helmet is an essential part of every mountain bike tour.
• Think in advance about what equipment you need to take with you: warm clothing, rain and wind protection, a repair kit and first aid kit belong in your rucksack, as well as a charged mobile phone.
