The Wind Park Loop Trail leads from Langenwang to the border of the Joglland region—and pushes less experienced hikers to the limits of their endurance!

This hike, marked as Trail No. 6, starts in Langenwang and leads through the Traibachgraben up to Hauereck, continuing to the wind park on the Rattener Alm. From there, the trail ascends further to the Pretul.

The route then descends via Bärenkogel Straße, passing through Gutenbrunn and Pichlwang, before returning to the village of Langenwang.

S6 Semmering Expressway – Exit Langenwang.

We start our tour in the town center of Langenwang and walk along Grazer Straße until we reach the actual trail entrance in Langenwanger Schwöbing. From here, the path follows Schwöbing into the Traibachgraben.

Continuing steadily uphill, we pass the old Traibach schoolhouse, a place reminiscent of Peter Rosegger’s time. The trail then ascends steeply to Gasthaus Almbauer and continues to Hauereck. Here, we turn left and follow Trail No. 740 to the Wind Park Rattener Alm and further to the Roseggerhaus on the Pretul.

From this point, the route descends: we hike to the Ganzalm, then continue to Bärenkogel-Sattel and onto Bärenkogel-Straße, passing the Kranzbauer estate and Gasthof Granitzbauer. The path leads through Gutenbrunn and Pichlwang, ultimately bringing us back to Langenwang.
